Franco-Italo-Maurician by origin and Montrealer by adoption and by heart, Julia Lucchesi has an artistic journey as a mirror of her multiple nationalities. After completing her high school and college studies in art she became an art bachelor graduate from UQAM in Animation and Cultural Research, Visual art and Communications. Her multidisciplinary talents transcend emotions and representations: to fix moments, ambiances, state of mines. Pause just like in a movie: ups and downs, concrete and abstract, urban like human as a means to capture day-to-day life, to impregnate it on film and to play it.
She works full time in Communication Company, after her 9 to 5 shift, she works on her personal photos, paintings, drawings and videos. Art is, for her, a way to communicate like any other. It is unconceivable to keep her artwork for herself, like she use to do before. Discovering new artists and their creations is as important as seeing her work progressing. Creating, exploring, searching but especially communicating and sharing with other.
She started showing her work 3 years ago on her blog, where she still shares her passion for Art with other creative bloggers. In 2008, this blog adventure even brought her backpacking in Europe travelling around France and Germany to see other bloggers.
Between her full time job, some painting and photography contracts, she takes part in some Visual art events like Nuit blanche sur tableau noir and the Montreal Photo Rally. You can also follow on her blog, places and dates of exhibitions and Art sales where you can see her work.
